It’s Gonna Be Alright!

How many times has this phrase been spoken–spoken BY those who think that it’s NOT gonna be alright–spoken TO those who believe it’s NOT gonna be alright? If you watch and listen to the talking heads that are called news reporters, then it’s NOT gonna be alright! Right? Think about it, if you can without getting a headache or wanting a giant bottle of wine or several shots of bourbon.

Vaccine Mandates. Rising cost of fuel. Inflationary prices at the grocery store. Shortages of needed items. The senseless acts of one human being killing another human being. The disrespect of law and order. This total disregard for the value of human life; otherwise known as abortion. The tornado of distrust between people. The decisions that call right wrong and wrong right. The cost of housing. Chaos ruling in the places that should be leading the people. The antagonism. The maleficence. The profligacy. See? If that’s what we think and believe–then AW’ HECK NO, EVERYTHING’S NOT GONNA BE ALRIGHT!

But it is–if you know The Truth. The old series “The X Files” character Fox Mulder was right–The Truth Is Out There! Yes, it’s stormy out there right now. Not just in the news, but maybe in your life you are facing a crisis–heck–you are in a full-blown category 5 hurricane crisis–but it is gonna be alright! If–I said IF you are anchored in the right place–and anchored to the right person!

You will not find that place, nor know that Person by watching the news or trusting political parties. The Place where everything is gonna be alright is in the arms of our Heavenly Father. That Person is none other than the Son of our Heavenly Father, Jesus! And it doesn’t matter the least little bit what you’ve done or where you’ve been. The Place and That Person is waiting, waiting for you to surrender your life completely to Him. Give God permission to take over–take over everything–including the things, especially the things–that are causing you to believe it ain’t gonna be alright!

This isn’t preacher-talk. It’s God’s promise to you–to anyone and everyone. This comes from Philippians 1:6–And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. I personally needed this reminder this morning. Maybe you do, too. I was reminded this morning through this song:
